HPD CO2 laser for rubber seal perforation

HPD CO2 laser for rubber seal perforation

Table of Contents

Automobile doors require a rubber seal in order to ensure a correct closing and sealing.

Automotive manufacturers use S-3100 HPD to perforate the rubber and to prevent water from accumulating in the internal cavity of the joint and ensure transpiration.

Such holes are made with a CO2 HPF (High Power Density) laser combining a thin beam and high density power. This allows making perforations on 1mm thick rubber at a continuous speed of up to 50 m/min.
