idPrima – Print and apply printer

idPrima is a compact industrial print and apply system for applying individually printed labels to products, packaging and cases. It combines thermal-transfer or direct-thermal printing with a choice of applicators, making it suitable for everyday identification and traceability applications where space and straightforward line integration matter.

Compact variable-data labelling for products and packaging

Use idPrima to print labels with the information required for each product, pack or shipment. Batch numbers, dates, product references, barcodes, 2D codes and logistics data can be produced when needed, helping to keep identification aligned with the production or dispatch process.

With a maximum label width of 110 mm, idPrima is well suited to product identification, secondary packaging and general industrial labelling applications.

Choose the printing method for your label

Thermal transfer or direct thermal printing

The specified Sato CL4NX print engine supports both thermal-transfer and direct-thermal printing. This gives you the flexibility to select the printing method according to the label material, required durability and conditions of use.

Clear data for traceability labels

Print resolution from 200 to 600 dpi supports legible text, barcodes, 2D codes and variable information. It is a practical solution for labels that need to remain easy to read throughout handling, storage and distribution.

Select the application configuration for your line

Linear applicator

The linear configuration uses a spring-loaded applicator pad for contact application. It is suitable where the label needs to be applied directly to a defined product or packaging surface.

Shift applicator

The Shift configuration applies the label by drag. This option can be selected according to the label position, product surface, pack size and line layout.

Designed for compact line integration

idPrima has internal unwinding and rewinding for small label reels, helping to keep the installation compact. Its 220 mm reel capacity and 414 mm machine width make it a useful option for production areas with limited available space.

Ethernet, RS-232 and USB communications, together with line inputs and outputs, support integration with conveyors, sensors and other production equipment.
