Film laser marking

Films used in packaging are a very thin material made up of elastomer polymers. Flexible film packaging can be in the form of bags, envelopes, pouches, sachets and wraps. These films can be made of easy to yield materials such as aluminium foil or paper sheeting to provide reflective and flexible qualities. Below, we will explain more about its use and film laser marking.

Advanced production processes result in a durable, thin material, making flexible film packaging a cost saving and waste minimising option. Films are used as barriers to prevent dirt, gases, germs, light or liquids from passing through it, ideal qualities especially in the food industry to preserve product quality.

Due to their varying complex combinations, film laser marking can be achieved with the entire laser range, depending on their components. Laser marking is contactless and therefore does not apply any pressure to the very often delicate film material. Labels can also be applied without contact by blowing them into place.
